What is the purpose of the Monstrum Blog?

First: To bring people who enjoy Science Fiction and Fantasy together.

Maybe you’re not a diehard fan who owns Vulcan ears. You still may want to hangout with people who enjoy good Science Fiction and Fantasy. Maybe you’re into books, movies, comic books, and/or any other forms of media. The Monstrum Blog wants to bring fans of the Sci Fi Fantasy genre together to build friendships and share information.

Second: To promote and celebrate the power of creation in the genre of Science Fiction and Fantasy.

A Philosophy professor once said that there were only two things that separated humans from all other animals; 1) that humans could laugh and 2) humans were in constant sexual heat. I strongly disagreed with that thought. What truly separates humans is our ability to create.

Humans can look at a blank piece of paper and on that paper, canvas, computer screen, or video recorder create whole new worlds, new beliefs, new laws of physics; anything! The limit is just our imagination. The best of us become authors, artist, directors, conductors, and performers. The power of Creation is humanity’s most wondrous attribute.

To recognized and help promote the Creators of Science Fiction & Fantasy.

Too little credit is given to humanity’s Creators. Instead, we hear about movie studios producing such and such a movie; or some publisher coming out with a new series. More focus should be on the Creator. The Monstrum Blog wants to do just that by listing up coming products or events of those Creators. 

To keep track of important and upcoming events in the Sci Fi & Fantasy genre and share that information with everyone.

The final goal of the Monstrum Blog is to help fans keep track of events coming up in the world of Science Fiction and Fantasy. There are WAY TO MANY websites that focus on reviews and critiques of works in Science Fiction and Fantasy; but not nearly enough that HELP fans find the information they want. Yes we may throw in an opinion from time to time; but the Monstrum Blog’s main goal is to help fans keep track of the important events of the Sci Fi & Fantasy World.
