“The Captive Flame” by Richard Byers is the best Forgotten Realms book set in the new edition that I have read to date. I truly enjoyed Richard Lee Byers’ creation of a kingdom ruled by Dragons, a mercenary group using griffons; and a world where magic and mythology come together and make sense. Book 1 of “Brotherhood of the Griffon” is a great start to this series.
